7 Months

7 months- our precious, sweet, little Miss Addison has been in our lives for 7 months. I cannot believe how blessed we have been with her- she is such a wonderful, happy, easy baby and we ADORE her. She has slipped right into our lives without us making too much of an adjustment and for that- I am so grateful!

She wakes up EVERY. SINGLE. Morning with a giant smile on her face! We actually fight over who gets to rush in there to get her because you get the best smiles in the morning J  She does this happy, squirmy dance when she sees you and it just makes your entire day.  She is so curious about everything and just sits back and takes it all in. This little girl ADORES her daddy and her big brother- the way her and JP play together literally, brings me to tears. If she gets upset or starts fussing, JP will run over to her and do a dance or make a face or do something to get her to smile. I just love that they love each other so much and I pray that they will always have this special relationship.

Addison weighed 15 lbs 10 oz at her 6 ½ month appointment and was 27 inches long.  She is tall and skinny! I bought her size 9 month clothes for summer and everything is falling off her! Oh well, she is still cute J She  is still a snacker and only takes four 5-6 oz. bottles a day. She also takes ½ jar of Stage 2 baby food twice a day, but that’s about it. If we feed her any more, she spits up everything and is miserable L She hasn’t figured out table food yet- we give her puffs, yogurt melts and pieces of banana , but she doesn’t know what to do with them. She’s not into chewing food yet, so we will be working on this!

Addison takes three naps a day that last anywhere from 50 minutes-2 hours. She takes a morning nap, an afternoon nap and then an evening nap. She goes to bed between 6:30-7:30 and sleeps until 6-7 the next morning! We have been INCREDIBLY blessed with great sleepers and kids that don’t get cranky if they miss a nap! Addison actually naps better “on the go” than she does at home or at daycare.  She still sleeps in a sleep sack and HAS to have her puppy dog lovey in her hands to sleep. She loves to have stuff touching her face, so she will frequently pull the lovey over her head while sleeping or cram herself next to her bumpers in her crib.

Addison has learned to sit up in the past few weeks and is a champ at sitting up and playing now! She hasn’t tried to crawl at all, but she prefers to scoot on her back to get what she needs.  She LOVES to stand up and will balance herself with a piece of furniture for a minute or so when standing. The pediatrician said she will probably be an early walker! 

Her favorite toys are the Laugh & Learn puppy dog, Fisher Price Sing-a-long sound stage (buy one NOW if you don’t own one!) and the Laugh & Learn Kitchen.  She also enjoys playing “mans” with her brother- she will play with him and his superhero figures forever. She just laughs at him all the time. He’s the only one that can get the giant giggles out of her.  Her other favorite toy is Ms. Sofie- which is our constant companion because she is a teething champ, but like her brother, I imagine it will be MONTHS before we ever see a tooth. JP didn’t get a tooth until shortly after his 1^st birthday and I have a feeling she will be the same. Fortunately, she isn’t a miserable, crying, teething mess.

Addison takes after her mommy and her brother and is a talking fool. The girl wakes up talking and falls asleep babbling away. She says “da da” “goo” and other fun baby sounds. She cracks us up because she just chatters away all day and JP is always telling her “baby sister! Be quiet so I can watch my TV show!” Poor boy has NO idea what he’s in for.  Addison still isn’t allowed to watch TV (we don’t let our kids watch TV until they are closer to two, and even now, JP is allowed 2 shows a day and that’s it), but she does try to crane her head around to watch the TV!

We are just so,so blessed by this little girl. She has stolen everybody’s hearts and is just the cutest little thing! (She also KNOWS she is cute and will use it to her advantage, especially with her daddy and grandpa’s)
